He enjoyed being a musician, and riding a motorcycle. Known as "Ice Pick Walt", he was formerly a bass player for the likes of the Dinosaurs and Flash Terry. He created a solo act of Delta blues and what he called "Jesus Blues". You wouldn't hear him at nightclubs, you would hear him at festivals and churches, even funerals. For the bigger gigs, he played with his band, the Bleeders. He was a member of the Central Nazarene Church.
SURVIVED by children Ashley and Melissa; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother, Louise Gibson of Tulsa, OK; Sisters, Calie Goedelmlan of Florida, Charlene Soerries of Tulsa, OK and Mauricella Hogan Hogan of Freeland, OK.
Several nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends.
PRECEDED in death by his father, Walter R. Gibson, and a grandparent, Calie Gibson.
